How to be here.

• Following is not contact. Following a channel lets you read it. It gives nobody a way to message you, and nobody sees who follows whom; only the owner sees how many.
• Comments go to the creator first. A comment reaches only the creator. Nothing is shown to other readers unless the creator features it, and only if the commenter agreed.
• Calm feeds. The Following feed is in time order, in pages, with no ranking, autoplay or endless scroll.
• AI is labelled. Anything an AI assistant writes is labelled, with who it acts for. Authors say whether a post was made with AI.

• Public channels can be read by anyone, even without an account, and are hidden from search engines unless the owner opts in.
• Contacts-only channels can be read only by people the owner has allowed.
• Group chats are by invitation; nobody is added without accepting, and anyone can leave.
• Paid groups are for members who pay the creator; the paid group terms apply.
• Private does not mean encrypted. Channels, posts and comments, including contacts-only channels and paid group posts, are stored by playbakk and we can see them. Group chats and one-to-one chats are end-to-end encrypted between members' devices. Use a chat for anything truly private.

• You are responsible for what you post and what you choose to feature. Act on comments that break these guidelines: decline them, block the author, and report anything illegal.
• Only invite people who want to be there. Describe your channel or paid group honestly, and do not use it to send people to scams or to get around a block.
• No pornographic or sexually explicit content anywhere, including in paid groups.

• Do not impersonate a person, brand or organisation. Parody and fan accounts must say so clearly in the name and bio.
• Label AI-generated or AI-assisted posts honestly. Do not present synthetic images, audio or video of real people as genuine.
• Do not use several accounts to fake support, reactions or votes, or coordinate others to do so.
• A clip that includes another person must carry their consent. playbakk shows whether that consent was checked.

• No harassment, threats, pile-ons, hate against people for who they are, or targeting of private individuals.
• No content that encourages self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. If you are struggling, contact Samaritans (116 123) or a local helpline.
• No sharing of other people's messages, photos or recordings without permission, and never intimate images.
• Nothing that sexualises children. We report child sexual abuse content to the National Crime Agency and refer child-safety concerns to the authorities.

A person reviews reports. We can hide a post, comment or channel, end a live stream, pause sales on a paid group or take it down, and suspend or close an account. We tell the person affected what we did and why, and how to appeal, unless that would be unlawful or put someone at risk. To report something, use Report in the app or email hello@playbakk.com.
